Under the Highway Code, the legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tread.

The European tyre rating allows you to assess three key criteria: rolling resistance (fuel efficiency), wet-weather adhesion and external rolling noise. Use these grades to choose between offers in 195/65R16.

A well-maintained tyre reduces fuel consumption by 3 to 5 per cent. As soon as your tyres are mounted, have the wheels balanced and check the pressure when cold at least once a month.
